Family owned large fruit warehouse is looking for a full time shipping clerk. Company has been in business for over 60 years & is proud to produce great quality apples to that can feed so many people.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Shipping Clerk located in Tieton, WA. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for day-to-day tasks including Microsoft Word, Excel, typing, ten key. We use Computech switch is a AS400 system, we will teach how to use that, but if knowledge about that system would be a bonus. Other tasks in tale:

• answering phones
• checking sales orders
• checking in and out truck drivers
• putting up paperwork for export orders
• checking certifications & Phytos
• working with the loading dock drivers to make sure loads are ready
• being able to communicate with sales people about their orders if something is not right with the order (not enough boxes or too many boxes)
• checking export paperwork for errors
• making sure pallets ticket are scanned appropriately for the order

Qualifications

• Person must be able to work under pressure
• Be pleasant to answer phones & visitors to the office
• Strong Communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work different hours throughout the week as needed
• Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent

Schedule is Monday - Friday 8 to 5pm, but sometimes during the season can be longer than 5pm. Benefits include: paid holidays, paid vacation, and health insurance.
